Evolution of MINION Continues

Evolution of MINION Continues

The adventure continues as MINION and I tackle curves across the state of Texas. MINION has gone through some small changes with its performance enhancements and Also Exterior additions. MINION will continue to change, but some recent evolution is under way for this little road master.

I have recently ordered a white under glow kit
I will be installing this kit very soon. Stay tuned for photos and video.

The next couple mods are for the interior:

Retrofit Colorline Interior Kit
Color White: This will give the current interior to match my exterior a little more.
I love the streamline colors of black and white so I'm keeping the style the same on the inside.
The Dash, door armrests, eBrake Boot, and shifter Boot will be white leather.

JCW Checkered Flag Floor Mats
These will open up the cock pit a bit more adding some white to the floor. And you can never go wrong with a checkered flag.

I'm also finally getting a stubby antenna to replace the exterior antenna on the roof.

MOTD 2012

So I just got back from an amazing vacation to North Carolina / Tennessee. Took the Mini up to MINIs on the Dragon 2012. a massive MINI event with over 700 MINIS and over 1000 attendees. We drove the Dragon, Cherohala Skyway, and the hellbender, and other crazy curvy roads. I also had some mods done to my car. Took a dent out of my driver side door. Installed new turn signals. I also had a Tourqe Arm Bushing installed.

Here are pictures from the event.

Drivers Edge - Safety, Performance, Control

Taking my Mini Cooper out to the track this weekend for the very first time. We will see how she rides. I'll get a full weekend of driving with an instructor on the famous MSR Houston track. This 2.4 Mile track has lots of turns which is what my Mini likesbest. I will hopefully learn something from the instructor and walk away with some cool footage and a thrilling ride.

MOTD 2012 - Phase 1 "Planning"

The Planning begins as The registration kicked off in January. The plan is to take a "Mini Convoy" (including 3 to 5 MINI Drivers) from Houston TX to NC to Fontana Village. We will be stopping in between so we are not overwhelmed with driving. Registration so far has been increasing to 666 Registrations. We will be staying at Tapoco Lodge which is 15 minutes from Fontana, and 5 minutes from the Dragon. The Dragon will Consist of 11-mile stretch of road with 318 curves. It's the year of the Dragon by the Chinese Calendar and were going to to do it right by driving our Mini coopers up to the mountains where every curve is as fun as a roller coaster. All registered and the part of planning will be gathering a list of things to stuff into my cooper for the week long trip. Part 3 will be checking My Mini to see what needs to be done in order for my car to be ready for this giant journey of winding roads.
